Biking and Kebabs
The weather in San Diego this past Saturday was gorgeous! After spending the last three winters in NYC, its lovely to spend a warm, sunny day out biking on New Year’s Eve. This New Year’s Eve I combined two of my favorite things: cycling and Mediterranean food! While out on the bikes, we stumbled upon…

A Taste of Little Italy
There are so many delicious neighborhoods in San Diego to explore. I recently moved within walking distance of Little Italy, so I decided to check my new local eateries. After only a few blocks, I came across Pete’s Quality Meats and Grilled Sandwiches.  Their window claimed to have the best homemade sausage sandwiches in town!…

Ballast Point Beer Pairing Dinner
Beer dinner at PB Ale House 12/8/11 This was an amazing meal with expert food pairings by the chef at PB Ale House.  After being seated next to Karl, clearly a regular based on the number of hugs from the beautiful wait staff, and Ballast Point’s very own sales person Laura Slayter, things got underway quickly.  We were early so PB Ale House offered up a sampler of their own and for the life of me I cannot remember what it was, however it was a tasty start. Inspiring Stories-Just add Beer
I’m always looking to find a common thread on the secret to a long, healthy life. Well, I found it: DRINK BEER! This story was published a few years back. Yet, it still holds true. Do what you love to do and the youthful health will follow. Working plumber Buster Martin is training for the London marathon. That is simply amazing — 101 years old and training for something that most of us would not even consider doing. He is the current record holder for the world’s oldest 5k, 10k and half marathon. Mr Martin, who has 17 children, started work at Pimlico Plumbers in London three years ago because he was bored. He drank a tankard of ale before signing autographs and chatting to fans near the finish line of the Essex race. Age is no more an obstacle…
