Let us do the driving and you do the drinking! This tour includes visits to local, family run vineyards with your knowledgeable and passionate guide to teach you about the process of winemaking, and a delicious winery dinner. You’ll learn about the history of the wineries and about San Diego’s role in creating a booming California wine culture.

The differences between the Chauffeured Vineyard Adventure and the Winery Train Tour are the mode of transportation and where we go. On the Chauffeured Adventure, we provide door-to-door transportation and take you to wineries with vineyards.
On the Winery Train Tour (not currently available), we take you to Urban Wineries where they make the wine, but don’t grow the grapes (no vineyards), and we get there on the public train.
This tour is perfect for singles, couples, groups… anyone! No matter who you come with (even if you come alone), you’ll make new friends.
You can choose non-alcoholic drinks instead of the wine/beer. You will get to participate in all the wonderful food, gifts, presentations, and guided tours. Published tour ticket prices apply.
Gratuities for your tour guide, although not required, are always appreciated. Industry standard is 20% of your tour ticket price which comes to about $30 per person.
The Chauffeured Vineyards Adventure is all inclusive with your wine, food, door-to-door transportation, entertainment, and expert guided tour starting at only $184.44 per person. This does not include fees or tour guide gratuity.
Most of our guests pre-pay tour guide gratuity (industry standard is 20%) which is $37 per person.

Unless you purchase a private tour, we don’t typically pick up in National City; Chula Vista; Bonita; Escondido; Encinitas; Carlsbad or Oceanside – however we’ll have a convenient spot for you to meet us, e.g.:

For those not staying in San Diego e.g. Orange County/Los Angeles, we suggest you take the Amtrak train to San Diego and we’ll pick you up at the transit center listed above.
We’re running one tour, our most popular tour, The Chauffeured Vineyards Adventure. This deluxe tour has a lot more features than the train tour which we are not doing at this time in that we pick you up with door-to-door transportation and take you to the actual vineyards.
It’s a fully guided, VIP adventure that has the most wine and food of all of our tours and includes a full meal on the vineyard grounds.
We stay local in San Diego County, we don’t go all the way to Temecula (Riverside County). The wineries are all within about half an hour from downtown San Diego. We have about 15 partner wineries that we rotate. Exact itinerary can change so we don’t publish the route ahead of time. We’ll tour you through scenic Ramona and San Pasqual Valleys, “the new Napa,” where vineyards with tasting rooms are currently popping up to the tune of about 100!
On Saturdays and Sundays pick up will be between approx. 10.30am and approx. 11.45am with drop off at approx. 6pm.
Wed-Fridays pick up time is between approx. 11.30am and approx. 12.30am with drop off approx. 7pm.
Door-to-door transportation, ample pours of award-winning wines (about a bottle of wine per person), lavish charcuterie, a full meal on the vineyard grounds and a behind-the-scenes VIP tour with an expert wine tasting presentation.
We run this tour Wednesdays through Sundays until sell we out.
We visit specially appointed winery estates for VIP service, delicious food and ample wine tastings. You’ll stroll the vineyards, relax and enjoy the gorgeous scenery and eat and drink the best of San Diego!
The tour will have between 3 and 14 guests unless you purchase a private tour which require buy out the vehicle (10 -14 tickets depending on when you book).
We do encourage you to take our public tours. Each public tour typically has between 4 to 14 guests. When there are other guests besides you, your tour guide is expert in bringing all of you together so you have a super fun time.
We can accommodate up to about 100 guests per day. For groups of 15 or more, additional transportation motor coach fees may apply. We’ll typically be taking you in our 15 passenger chauffeured Mercedes Sprinter.
If you need to cancel your tour date we typically cannot issue a refund as your space is being guaranteed. However, if you give us enough notice we may be able to move your tour date or provide you with gift certificates for future use ($25 ea. reschedule fee may apply). Purchased tickets are transferable.
