A Taste of Italy – Delighting the taste buds

No need to travel to Italy for fabulous, authentic Italian food. It’s right here in our neighborhood. Enter Cafe Milano on Pearl Street in La Jolla. A small, family owned restaurant with an Italian owner that really cares and really knows how to cook great Italian food. Cafe Milano is fine Italian dining at its best! We bring our tour guests in every week and it’s always wonderful. The food is fresh, exciting and pleases even the most finicky eater. I don’t know how Pasquale (chef/owner) does it, but he always serves us the most perfect meal. Cafe Milano is an absolute favorite for our guests, both local and visitors. Thank you, Pasquale.

Chef Pasquale amazed us with his incredible tiramisu for Corey’s birthday! We paired this with
Maddalena (Paso Robles) Cabernet 2006. Even Marisa loved the pairing. Up until now she didn’t like bold, tannin rich reds, but paired with the tiramisu she enjoyed how the chocolate smoothed out the tannins that she would usually avoid.
